About me

As I grew up surrounded by all beautiful people, who had their own way of expressing art. I got fascinated by putting down people’s way of expression into design and that’s where I come from.

I am earning my Bachelors in design [B.Des] in Accessories design department at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai. This university is renowned in the field of design and I have learnt illustrations, sketching, form study, material handling, manufacturing process, design detailing and various other subjects related to the field.

I first found my interest in jewellery while I was working for a design project on silver jewellery. And ever since then I have been keen on exploring this field further. I would definitely like to give a new face to silver jewellery craft while retaining the culture of it yet making it more modern. I have long been captivated by the elegant and simplicity of jewellery and all they represent, and this is why I have decided to pursue this course.

Now coming to my academic skills, I have experience in software- Adobe Photoshop, Sketchbook, Coral Draw, Auto CAD, Indesign. Nift has given students like me an opportunity to work with Indian handicraft. I have worked in silver jewellery handicraft which has given me an experience at designing and making of silver jewellery. I have also worked in faux leather. Other than this, I have taken my minor in Fashion Communication where I have learnt subjects like basic of graphic design, semiotics and fashion styling.

I have participated in workshop of AIESEC World Largest Lesson, which has been very helpful. I have also walked on ramp at MOOD INDIGO at IIT Bombay twice which gave me an inside of how backstage works and how management skills are important.
